SiForce Big Drive II eSATA is a selectable hardware RAID enclosure for two 3.5" SATA HDD. A true hardware solution, SiForce Big Drive II requires no software to be installed on your machine.
It provides multiple hardware RAID mode:
- RAID 1 (Mirroring): for two disks with same capacity.
- RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
- Spanning: for two disks with different capacity.
- Non-RAID (JBOD).
RAID 1 (Mirroring):
By mirroring technique, SiForce Big Drive IImaintains data in two disk drives simultaneously and securely. If one drive fails, SiForce Big Drive II automatically switches operations to the functional drive and alert the failure. Once a new HDD is installed to replace the defective drive, theSiForce Big Drive II will automatic rebuild the entire HDD image in the background, while providing the un-interrupt data connection to the system
RAID 0 (Striping) and Spanning:
By striping/ spanning technique, SiForce Big Drive II integrates two HDDs into a big drive.
SiForce Big Drive II provides the cost-effective solution for data backup.
