Audio surveillance system designed for law enforcement use in interview rooms, jail lockups and polygraph rooms. This system can be used anywhere a high quality, long term audio recording is desired & permitted.
WHAT IT DOES
Records high quality, low noise, at 16bit, 22,050 Hz sample rate, stereo audio 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for up to a year, at your remote site.
It allows restricted access to the recorded audio over your agencies local computer network. Easy application allows investigators to copy (via Drag&Drop”) one hour blocks of recorded audio from this remote system to their computer desktop. The recordings can then be reviewed, and archived.
HOW IT WORKS
This Windows XP Pro based computer runs a special, on the fly, MP3 audio encoder program. The program records the audio into one hour MP3 files. These one hour long files are time stamped and cataloged for easy referencing and transporting over the network.
The audio signal is picked up by a set of “Knowles” hearing aid microphones and amplified by low noise, high quality pre-amps. The audio is digitized by an external low noise soundcard, and then fed to the systems hard drive.
